China Policy Institute is an academic research think tank based at the University of Nottingham. Its purpose is to study the role of China in the contemporary world, its relations with Western nations and the challenges faced by its rapid economic development. The website provides information about the aims of the centre and its current work. It includes free access to a growing collection of online publications from approximately 2005 onwards. These include: China Analysis (timely comment on Chinese politics, economic and social affairs), policy papers and discussion papers. Topics covered include Chinese politics, change and reform within the Chinese communist party and government, economic and trade developments, international relations and security and issues arising from the Beijing 2008 Olympic games.
