India: Human Rights Data Analysis Group
The Human Rights Data Analysis Group (HRDAG) was originally founded by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). It develops statistical techniques to enable human rights groups and committees of investigation to produce evidence based analyses of human rights abuses worldwide. In this role it has supplied data to truth and Reconciliation committees and International criminal Tribunals. Its website provides information on the aims and work of the group. It includes free access to press releases, project reports and full text statistical datasets. The latter relate to war crimes, genocide and human rights abuses. This section contains materials relating to India from approximately 2008 onwards. They include quantative analysis of violence and insurgency in the Punjab. From Intute.ac.uk
