The Human Development Report 2011, "Sustainability and Equity:  A Better Future for All" will be launched on Wednesday, 2 November 2011.  The Human Development Report has been examining the living standards in most countries for  more than 20 years.  The 2011 Report projects a disturbing reversal of past trends if environmental deterioration and social inequalities continue to intensify, and calls for new approaches to global development financing and environmental controls.

Palestinian human development report 2009/10 Investing in Human Security for a Future State was issued (full text, pdf, 3.4 KB). The report looks into different aspects of human security: economy, food, health, environment, political, personal, community. According to the report:

It is imperative, if development and lasting peace are to be secured, that security be re-envisioned as something that guarantees the collective safety of Palestinians and Israelis rather than just the military security of the State of Israel.

2009 Human Development Report has been launched. Entitled Overcoming barriers: Human mobility and development (full text, 3.9 KB) the report focuses on migration, both within and beyond borders.
The report investigates migration in the context of demographic changes and trends in both growth and inequality. It also presents more detailed and nuanced individual, family and village experiences, and explores less visible movements typically pursued by disadvantaged groups such as short term and seasonal migration.

Measure of America : American human development project

The American Human Development Project is a nonpartisan, non-profit initiative established to introduce to the United States an international approach and tool for measuring human well-being: the human development approach and the human development index. The Measure of America website features the American Human Development Report, produced by the American Human Development Project. It is modelled on the United Nations Development Programme's global Human Development Report, which has provided authoritative analysis and a ranked index for countries around the world for almost two decades. It is published by Columbia University Press and the Social Science Research Council.
