SAFE SEX??

Our government has taken a safe sex approach to our HIV problem. People are told that lots of sex is good. As long as you use a condom, you'll be fine.
I take a different view. Sure, for the most part, if you use a condom properly you won't get pregnant. But what if pregnancy isn't the worst thing that can happen?
Human papillomavirus (HPV) is also at a pandemic level in our society. In men, it presents itself as warts and painful lesions. In woman, it leads to lesions, warts, infertility and cervix cancer. Yes, cancer. In America, this virus is the NUMBER 1 killer of young women. Newsflash: this is a VIRUS. Once you have it, you are stuck for LIFE. You will give it to almost EVERYONE you have sex with, whether you know you have it or not. Scientists estimate that 50% of sexually active females have this virus already. This virus is often carried for years before symptoms start to show.
Wanna hear the really scary stuff? Condoms do not provide full protection from HPV and other genital warts. Apart from the fact that some viruses are small enough to pass through the rubber, a condom only covers a limited amount of skin. As the virus is present over the full genital area, if you have sex with someone who has the virus, you will pick it up. You are giving yourself a life sentence of warts, painful sores, infertility, cancer, early death. I've included a couple of links to related websites. Please read them.
I know that this isn't easy to hear, but the only foolproof method of staying clean is abstinence. The only "safe sex" is in a monogomous marriage, with a clean, faithful partner.
