Scholarships offered by the Indian High Commission
Posted by Celia Walter | 3 Jan, 2008- The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) is offering one scholarship known as "Africa Day" in the memory of the (Late) Dr. Amilcar Cabral to a South African student of Indian origin for Undergraduate/Post Graduate/Ph. D studies for the 2008-2009 academic session.
- In addition, the ICCR is offering 19 Scholarships to meritorious nationals from South Africa under its General Scholarship Scheme for the year 2008-2009.
- ICCR is also offering one slot to meritorious nationals from South Africa under the Commonwealth Scholarship/Fellowship Plan for the year 2008-2009.
- The Government of India offers a scholarship to a South African student of Indian origin for Post-Graduate studies in India for two years in any discipline, except MBBS. The scholarship is known as Dadoo-Naicker Scholarship, in the memory of Yusuf Dadoo and Monty Naiker of the South African Indian Congress.
The application form, along with terms and conditions of the scholarship can be obtained from this office.
