David R. Loy, American Buddhist writer and activist, author of The Great Awakening: A Buddhist Social Theory comes to the Hout Bay Theravadan Centre on 18 April at 19h30.
His topic will be on karma (kamma) in a 21st century context. David looks at the sutta explanations of karma and argues that Buddhism has settled for a reduced and somewhat stereotyped version of karma. It is worth re-examining what generates good and bad karma, and how this informs our choices, actions and commitments in modern life.
