INTSPEI Search Cloudlet.
I was asked to review the Search Cloudlet, which is a Firefox addon.
Basically it inserts tag clouds into Google and Yahoo results to give
you ideas (tags) to narrow a search. Once you've run a search a tag
cloud appears above the results and you can click any tag to add it to
the search box. There is a video on the site that explains this in more
detail, which I urge you to watch and turn your speakers up to LOUD for
the stirring military music that accompanies it. (Yes, really!)
It's not the sort of thing that would appeal to most people, but if you're working with novice searchers you may want to install it onto one or two machines to demonstrate the value in chosing more terms to search for. But really, go see the video!
