LOVE...Is It Worth It?

for the better part of a year i've been part of an 'us'. Its been a whirlpool of "i am yours and you are mine". I've given someone the right to my life and i accepted the offer to a right to his. The initial feeling was great, even the slight arguments and tiffs, even the insecurities! because they all marked the territory of being in a relationship, a relationship which brings stability, a relationship that gives you a whole new identity because you not just 'me' anymore...you an 'us'.But what happens when you begin to feel stifled???

My friends adore my boyfriend and get furious with me when i upset him unnecessarily!! but they don't understand the reason behid it!! after the first four months of our relationship i began challenging him, testing him in every possible way to see whether he was being sincere or just another one of those guys...i thought i was aiding myself, but instead, it started pushing him away from me.i've been hurt in the past and its really difficult to install your faith, love and other emotions into someone who can turn their backs on you at any given time.

he calls me an ICEBOX! Says i should've been born in the north pole. just because i never say "i love you" first or make the first move and be loving towards him. i don't like putting myself out there, opening myself up and becoming vulnerable. I don't want to be hurt.

he's a good guy...kisses my forehead, tells me i'm beautiful, not hot...would show me off to the world even in my slacks, holds my hand in front of his friends...and when he sees me, points to his company and says, "Thats her"

you know the saying, DON'T LOSE A DIAMOND WHILE SCRATCHING FOR STONES?? Thats what i feel will happen if idon't get over this stubborness to opening up to him!!

Please help me come up with some strategy to help me help myself and me relationship...because it really is the best thing thats ever happened to me.

  2. i totally understand how you feel because im xactly the same.i know that it might sound funny especially since you looking for a solution but i think that you shouldnt let your guard down as yet.by saying this i dont mean that you shouldnt trust him and the things he says but one can never be sure when it comes to the heart.il admit, i lost someone i truly cared about because i was insecure when it came to our relationship.i would always ask questions concerning it and in the end i ended up letting go all because of this. so my advice is that you guys should talk openly about how you feel because communication is the foundation of every relationship and what is the use of being in one if you are unhappy about certain things?!? in the long run it will only get worse and affect ur relationship because he will feel like you dont trust him.by the sounds of things i dont see why you would doubt him.he sounds like the type of guy every girl wouldnt mind having.so hold tight and dont let go.REMEMBER COMMUNICATION!

  3. I'm not an expert when it comes to dating and stuff,for obvious reasons THE COMMUNICATION PROBLEM, so I'll just speak my mind, as usual. You can have the biggest mouth eva, but when it comes to communicating with your boyfriend it's just not easy. But if you see some kind of future for you and this guy you've got nothing to lose. Go for it. To me, he seems like one in a million.I wish there were more guys like him around,showing you off to his friends even when you're in your slacks, you must be quite hot. Just don't get too attatched to him. You know how they are,the one minute they're all lovey dovey then the next they're seem to be hit by a tornado or something. Just take it easy, stop the 101 questions.
