We have trial access to OECD's new iLibrary product, the successor to SourceOECD, until the end of the year.

 OECD iLibrary is the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development’s Online Library for Books, Papers and Statistics and the gateway to OECD’s analysis and data. Access is available for titles published from January 1998 onwards.

ilissAfrica is a project of the Africa Department of the University Library Johann Christian Senckenberg in Frankfurt on the Main in cooperation with the GIGA Information Centre: Africa Library in Hamburg.

UCT has trial access to SourceOECD, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's  online portal for their online journals, books, reports and statistical databases, until 16 October 2008. There is a link to the database on the Trials web page .  
 
Humanities colleagues will be very interested in the links to books (fulltext, in pdf format) on Development, Education and Science and Information Technology.

We have a trial access to the Economist Historical Archive until 11 July 2008.    

 "The Economist Historical Archive delivers a complete searchable copy of every issue of The Economist from 1843 to 2003. New full-colour images, multiple search indexes, exportable financial tables and a gallery of front covers highlighting a key topic of each week - all combine to offer a primary source of research covering the 19th and 20th centuries. "

Sabinet Full Open Access Journal Collection - Beta Release

This will be the largest collection of South African Full Open Access Journals consisting of more than 6000 full-text PDF articles.

Initially, 44 South African journals will be available, of which 14 are Approved South African Journals or appear on the IBSS or ISI lists.

The journals are individually searchable. The coverage per journal varies, with some journals having full-text issues available from 2000 onwards.

New Journal Portal: TDNet

TDNet provides a new interface for our A-Z journal list.   The list enables you to search for any of our more than 36 000 electronic journals by their title or subject.  You can also search this list for individual articles by title or subject going back for five years. 

You can also use the "My Journals" option on the A-Z list to set up a personal list of keywords or selected journals.   This means that you will be sent the table of contents by email whenever a new volume of that journal appears, or whenever an article appears that matches your keywords, with in the journal you have selected, or if you prefer, in any of the more than 36 000 journals on the list.
