Baby Jordan

So Zuma is basking in his rape trial and using lines like: "Maybe because she is lonely, she is of the opinion I may also HELP her in this regard" Oh well, one might assume this guy is digging his own grave - actually he has already secured one with HIV.

I'll give the old Zuma a break and maybe hit on something that might get me labelled as being insensitive and maybe ignorant. Why on earth have I been subjected to six months or more of Baby Jordan's case. Actually I don't know whats more annoying - the fashion show the baby's family has turned this into or the fact that everyday, in all headlines, I will be subjected to something about this case and glamourous pictures of Jordan's family dressed to kill. Why is this story dragging in a country where such incidents occur on a daily basis. Can someone please fill me in on the significance of this case. e-tv seems to be milking this story and will soon be producing sour cream if they don't get new stories.

I apologize to any relatives of the Norton family and I by no means mean to undermine their case, but sensitive matters of this nature need not drag on like this because they might lose their point - which I think has already happened and the whole issue is mutating into some love-affair/racist cop/ rich girlfriend case/ etcetera

Z.U.M.A Means...

Well-known South African comedian David Kau (cow), has given a new meaning to Z.U.M.A. There's a bit of seriousness and (truth?) in the new meaning of Z.U.M.A - also known as Zulu Under'mining' Mbeki Administration. Wouldn't anyone like to know what's going on in the Mbeki camp and what Zuma means to this camp.

Before I even begin expressing my views I would like to admit that I have no political affiliation to any political party & I can shamefully say that I have never penned down an "X" for any leader in this country. Why? Because the ANC has no opposition...

So...our TV stations feed us a daily dosage of 10 minute hard & soft news bulletins, smothered in sport, business and advertisements for convincing the ones tanning in the bliss of ignorant that news are actually worth 30 minutes. Not once have they ever uncovered or dug deep enough to give their audiences inside info on how the Mbeki camp is digesting Zuma's problems. Its all fair that the spokesperson said that the spokesperson of that spokesperson said. But, can't the horses spill the beans themselves. Surely there's more to this than meets the eye. Worst of all is that our lousy R250 per annum TV stations are becoming vehicles of racist ideologies... Have a look at e-news tonight. Tomorrow night, have a look at SABC 3 news. Then on the third night try flicking between both TV stations - you'll be surprised at the lengths at which e-tv will go to discredit black leaders and SABC news tries to credit them. Now if they are both giving us news do you think they are objective views. I doubt it. My fingers are getting numb from all this typing... I'll continue my venting soon...

Should We Trust The Media?

In post-apartheid South Africa would you really trust the media of this country? Is the media being used as a giant political tool? Well, think so, and in this blog you will find examples of this.
