OpenUCT and OpenContent hosted a student event on Tuesday to celebrate OA week with the students. As part of the event students were asked to show their support for open access by signing a canvas. We were assisted by two awesome student volunteers - Tasneem Jaffer and Sajjad Karamsi who got the crowd engaged and interacting on issues related to open access.

Good job and thank you to all the UCT staff and students that have come out in support of this week.
:-D
The Finding Open Stuff sessions went well yesterday and sparked quite a bit of discussion. To view the presentation, go to: http://slidesha.re/vFpzQy

The session was a showcase of a range of sites that offer open resources for use by everyone. As I stressed yesterday, no matter which site you visit - if you find a resource you would like to use in an online resource, always make sure to read the terms of use.
Happy site surfing :-)
