John Tsebe, the National Librarian of South Africa, is Chair of the Council for Directors of National Libraries (CDNL). according to a media statement on the National Library's website.
The Deputy National Librarian, Rachel More, is the second secretary of the Council for Directors of National Libraries.
The Committee was set up in 1974 to discuss policies and carry out activites that could be performed most effectively by national libraries, on the understanding that its work would be co-ordinated with the IFLA Section for National Libraries.
