Lace is just too pretty to be worn as underwear only. okay, so i know it is winter and its hardly the warmest material to be wearing right now, but how cool are those leggings? If you are intetrested, they are from Slate in the waterfront, and come in a number of different colours. The catch? They cost over R300 (i have this on authority from a fellow student who works there). I think that is pretty steep. But i predict that sooner rather than later other stores will be coming out with more affordable copies. Generally lace can be pretty pricey if its good quality..If you you dont see the point in giving in to the inflated prices that are the norm in Cape Town boutiques these days, try a few vintage stores on Long street, such as Glitterati (in the Antique Arcade) and Never on a Sunday in the Baobab Mall (also on long street) for more affordable options. You may, however, need to look past the musty smell! End of the month syndrome and no cash in the bank? The lace gloves cost R5 from Mr Price. The lace mask is actually a headband type thing for your hair, and i dont recommend going out in public with it across your face, you are likely to get a few strange looks.

  1. i love lace, i love the vintage feeling to it. i find it glamorous and extremely sexy. to me it is just something that wont go out of fashion, maybe the hype wil submerge but it will always be pretty sexy
