Skinned Teddybears As Footwear?

Okay, I know these boots are really popular at the moment, but every time i see them, i just cant help thinking of cuddly toys. What is this about? teddybear separation anxiety from childhood, or a vicious psychological vendetta against your favourite cuddly toy that is no longer there to comfort you as you drift into lala land? And lets be honest, this is Africa, not Antarctica, its not that cold to justify wearing fur round your ankles. Plus, i always wonder when i see this particular footwear, what the hell happens when it rains? Those boots must be like a sponge, soaking up every availble droplet of moisture on the ground. A smell similar to wet dog must linger for hours around your feet. For those of you that are into wearing skinned childhood friends as footwear, can you let me know the atraction?
