Beautycheck is the English-language version of a research project published by the University of Regensburg Psychology Department, which has been published online on the university's website. The project, by Dr. Martin Gruendl, Dr. Christoph Scherber, Claus Marberger, and Christoph Braun, investigates concepts of facial attractiveness. The report covers the concepts of facial symmetry, babyfaceness with an online experiment, the creation of average faces created by morphing digital images, the characteristics of a beautiful face, virtual attractiveness based on test results, and social perceptions based on attractive and unattractive faces. A full version of the report in German is available as a PDF document.
