What is the point of critical thinking in social s

Why are the young people of today so violent? Aren't words enough to sort out a conflict? Young people are beating each other up,stabbing each other and even shooting each other..Isn't life supposed to be carefree and fun when we are young?

How mad can you be at a person? is it enough to take thier life? By even punching someone in the eye can change their life..that one punch could make them blind? why would you do somethuing like that..? who made you God, who gave you the right to decide when someone should lose sight in one eye or when they should die? Many South African schools have had to increase their securtiy due to the increase in crime in schools. Fights don't only occur in school they also occur at parties when the underage kids are drunk,making them more aggresive... Are kids getting so agressive beacuse of thier surroundings? South Africa is known to be a very violent county so is our country to blame?

A factor that plays a huge role in inlfuencing young children today is the media such as movies, television and video games. Instead of playing outside with friends children would rather stay indoors and watch tv. There is not a lot of supervision involved when children watch so they are able to watch violent shows and they then imitate what it is they just witnessed on their favourite action show.

Young people just need to realise that there are other ways to handle a situations without fists,knives and dead bodies involved...
