Warning: Blogs not included.
It has come to my attention that the UCT blogosphere is rather dull. Is it due to a lack of sQ? Vicki? Or the mere fact that student blogs and staff blogs are segregated to their own corners of the known world. Coupled with the fact that uct students just dont care about blogs while the staff is bored enough to care. They are far too busy busying themselves to open up a blog and read. Do they even know the blog site exists?
Nay, it may even extend beyond this reasonable explanation. A quick google search on the word "blog" reveals not invididual blogs but commercial sites that host blogs and even pay bloggers if they become popular enough. As far as I'm concerned, I have little motivation to write without people to provoke. I yearn for the good ol' days of flame wars and stupid first years to poke.
Perhaps some change is required. Perhaps a friendly message to our friendly neighbhorhood blog overseer.
