Please think about what aspects of Health Sciences Education i.e. undergraduate education, postgraduate education and continuing professional development, you would like to present at the Health Education Research Day in 2016. Keeping in mind the following categories:
Research and evaluation
- Papers in this category will focus on research or formal evaluation projects. Qualitative and quantitative work welcome.
Innovations and work in progress
What have you done to improve teaching, learning or assessment for your postgraduate or undergraduate students? Papers in this category should address initiatives that have been undertaken to address challenges and issues faced by you or your students, whether in the classroom, clinical or community setting. And your solution need not have been perfected!
Presentations of work in progress for discussion are most welcome.
This section is for innovative or new ideas and researchers wishing to present their work in progress and receive feedback. This is a forum to both share ideas and discuss those who are either new to the exciting world of Health Science Education, or those needing some fine-tuning
Please note that papers from both categories will be eligible for prizes.
Guidelines for abstracts
- The abstract should not be more than 300 words
- For Research and evaluation papers should contain: Context, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
- For Innovations and work in progress: What problem was addressed? What was tried? What happened? What lessons were learned?
- All submissions will be subject to review.
A panel will judge abstracts on the following criteria:
- Originality
- Validity of the research design
- Importance and relevance of content
